DEMHS Announces Recipients of Round 4 School Security Grant Funding

An Additional 200 Schools Statewide to Receive Funding

The Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS) is pleased to announce the Round 4 School Security Competitive Grant Program (SSCGP) funding decisions. Round 4 will fund an additional 191 Public Schools and 10 Private Schools including: private day schools, religious educational institutions, licensed childcare centers, and licensed daycare centers will receive funds in Round 4 of the School Security Competitive Grant Program (SSCGP).

Round 4 authorized an additional $10 million in state funding to be used to reimburse municipalities for a portion of the costs associated with security infrastructure improvements at 200 schools. With this additional round, the state has made a total of $63 million available for school security upgrades at over 1,200 schools since 2013.
