Timeline and Process

The program is not currently accepting applications and will not offer grants in fiscal year 2022. The ARTE-accesible web pages are for informational purposes only with an overview of the program as it ran in fiscal year 2021. Please note: changes may occur from one cycle to the next. 

Timeline

Application Deadline:  On or before 11:59pm, September 15, 2020 
Notification: late November, 2020
Funding Period: January 1,  2021 - December 31, 2021
Final Report:  January 30, 2022

The deadline for the fiscal year 2021 program has passed.  

Review Process

COA consults with outside professionals to serve as panel reviewers.

A total of 30 points is possible with the Review Criteria outlined below:

READI (10 points)

Thoughtful Plan (10 points)

  • Does the proposed activity successfully consider services/strategies to increase access to the arts for audiences/artists of all abilities and/or staff training to reach and engage greater access?
  • Does the applicant demonstrate an understanding of these services/strategies they plan to implement and/or have a plan for staff training to deepen this understanding?
  • Returning applicants must demonstrate growth and advancement of their accessibility offerings. The ARTE-accessible program is not designed for ongoing accessibility operations for an organization.

Quality Plan (10 points)

  • Is the proposed activity (and budget) realistic?
  • Does the proposed activity include a suitable plan to market, promote, and/or evaluate the project?
