State Liquor Control Division Reminds Consumers That No Alcohol Sales Are Allowed by Package Stores or Grocery Stores on Thanksgiving Day
Wednesday Nov. 23, 2022 -- The Department of Consumer Protection’s (DCP) Liquor Control Division wants to remind consumers that package stores are closed, and grocery stores cannot sell beer on Thanksgiving Day, November 24.
“We know that families are in the home stretch of planning their Thanksgiving meals, and alcohol purchases may be a part of that process,” said Consumer Protection Commissioner Michelle H. Seagull. “If you plan to include alcohol in your holiday plans, make those purchases today. As always, we remind the public to use alcohol responsibly this Thanksgiving, no matter who you may have at your dinner table.”
Consumers who have questions or complaints regarding liquor permittees in the state, or who observe any package stores or grocery stores selling alcohol on Thanksgiving, are encouraged to contact the Liquor Control Division by emailing dcp.liquorcontrol@ct.gov, or by calling (860) 713-6210.
