Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 – The Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) is issuing a warning to consumers who may have encountered James Delmaro, 44, of Hamden (pictured below). Delmaro may be offering or contracting to perform Home Improvement work without a registration. Delmaro was denied a home improvement registration in 2008 by the Department.
DCP has received reports that Mr. Delmaro has been soliciting consumers door to door in East Hartford and South Windsor. In the past, Delmaro has used the personal names Anthony Delmaro, Mario Certo, and Jose Rivera, as well as the business names Bull Dog Roofing, Flat Roofing, and First Choice Roofing.
As always, we encourage consumers to avoid doing business with anyone offering services door to door who pressure you to act immediately or offer a deal that sounds too good to be true.
