SPOTLIGHT ON WHAT'S RIGHT!
The DCF Spotlight on What's Right is a monthly newsletter that includes a message from our Commissioner along with positive stories about our wonderful staff, families, and programs.
In addition to Teacher Appreciation Month, May is also National Foster Care Month. In this edition, we celebrate Willie Robinson, one of our dedicated kin foster parents. We also highlight the story of Vince Espino, who has undergone quite a journey throughout his life--from homelessness to kinship care to the White House, and ultimately, to DCF as a valuable member of the Danbury team. Finally, we congratulate DCF Social Worker Gabrielle Mitchell, who recently earned her MSW and gave the commencement speech for the UCONN School of Social Work.
