Contract Compliance for Municipal Public Works Projects
At the root of many civil rights issues is economic power. Building up small and minority owned businesses is crucial to the elimination of discrimination in our state. As part of those efforts, the CHRO administers the state’s set aside program, requiring contractors on state funded public works projects to make efforts to have qualified small and minority owned businesses bid for the contract. This workshop will go over how the program works to expand opportunities for marginalized businesses and explore town requirements for compliance.
