Connecticut Statewide Disparity Study

A disparity study is a formal study conducted by a third-party firm to examine:

  • whether there is statistical evidence of discrimination in the award of state contracts
  • the number of qualified small and minority-owned businesses eligible for bidding on state contracts
  • whether there are intentional or unintentional barriers preventing small and minority-owned businesses from participating in state contracting
