West Vine Street Pond is a 0.8-acre waterbody in Pawcatuck, CT. The pond is less than a meter deep and supports an abundance of native vegetation.

Our 2014 IAPP survey found white water lily (Nymphaea odorata) to be the most dominant plant in the pond covering much of the surface of the lake. Beneath the water lilies we found significant amounts of spineless hornwort (Ceratophyllum echinatum) and common bladderwort (Utricularia macrorhiza). The shoreline supported ample growth of cattails (Typha species) and pickerelweed (Pontederia cordata). Other species, such as small pondweed (Potamogeton pusillus), primrose-willow (Ludwigia species), and charaphyte algae, occurred in various places around the lake.
