Wah Wah Taysee Pond, North Haven
Wah Wah Taysee Pond is a one-acre pond located in North Haven, CT. It is used by Wah Wah Taysee Camp for educational and recreational purposes. The shoreline is surrounded by entirely by woods. A small island is in the center of the pond.
Our September 2009 survey found five species of aquatic plants with none being invasive. Western waterweed (Elodea nuttallii) and small pondweed (Potamogeton pusillus) covered nearly the entire bottom while spikerush (Eleocharis species), common duckweed (Lemna minor), and pickerelweed (Pontederia cordata) occurred in small patches near the shore.
