2015 Aquatic Plant Survey Map of Von Wettberg Pond
Von Wettberg Pond is a small one-acre waterbody in Oxford, CT. There is a scenic walking trail that loops around the pond with no public boating access. Our CAES IAPP 2015 aquatic plant survey found 6 native species and no invasive species. Spikerush (Eleocharis species) and low watermilfoil (Myriophyllum humile), both low-lying plants, were the most frequently found species. No vegetation appeared to be a nuisance. The water had a slight blue-green coloration but no algal bloom was apparent.
