2019 Aquatic Plant Survey Map of Private Pond, Haddam
This waterbody is a private pond located in Haddam, CT. It is roughly 1.2 acres in size with a maximum depth of 1.5 meters. This is the first survey of the pond performed by CAES IAPP. Seven native aquatic plant species were found; no invasive species were found. The most common species was snailseed pondweed (Potamogeton bicupulatus) found flowering to the surface in the southern half of the pond. The other common species were spikerush (Eleocharis species), low watermilfoil (Myriophyllum humile), and white water lily (Nymphaea odorata).
