Higby Reservoir #3 is 42.3 acres in size and is located in Middletown, CT. Three plant species were found during our 2010 survey: golden hedge-hyssop (Gratiola aurea), grassy arrowhead (Sagittaria graminea), and western waterweed (Elodea nuttallii). Western waterweed was most prominent in the lake, covering the entire southern portion and large patches existing in the northern half of the lake. Grassy arrowhead grew along the shore of the lake in small, sporadic patches except along the upper half of the western coast.  Four small patches of golden hedge-hyssop were found. Two were found along the west coast and two in the upper half of the east coast.
