Chordas Pond is a 2.5-acre waterbody located in Shelton, CT. The pond is relatively shallow, with a maximum depth of 2.2 meters. The CAES IAPP survey identified nine species present, all native. Low watermilfoil (Myriophyllum humile) was the dominant plant, found along the entire shoreline as well as throughout parts of the middle of the pond. There was also a large algal bloom present in the entirety of the pond, forming dense patches in the southern end.

Other plant species found included watershield (Brasenia schreberi), water starwort (Calitriche species), common duckweed (Lemna minor), primrose-willow (Ludwigia species), white water lily (Nymphaea odorata), snailseed pondweed (Potamogeton bicupulatus), leafy pondweed (Potamogeton foliosus), and bur-reed (Sparganium species).
