Attorney General Tong Seeks Dismissal of Absentee Ballot Challenge
Attorney General Tong to Personally Argue Motion to Dismiss Before State Supreme Court Monday Afternoon
(Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong will personally argue before the Connecticut Supreme Court Monday seeking to dismiss a challenge to the state’s absentee ballot provisions protecting voters in the August primary during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.The hearing will be conducted via Microsoft Teams at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 20. Additional information on how to view the hearing will be shared on the State Supreme Court website.
Attorney General Tong has filed two briefs in the case, a motion to dismiss filed on July 7, and the second on the merits of the case filed today, July 17.
