The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection has provided notice to the Attorney General of an abnormal market disruption regarding the wholesale price of motor gasoline or gasohol. Pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 42-234, no seller of motor gasoline or gasohol shall sell, or offer to sell, an energy resource at an unconscionably excessive price between March 30, 2026, and April 30, 2026.

Attorney General Tong Seeks Dismissal of Absentee Ballot Challenge

Attorney General Tong to Personally Argue Motion to Dismiss Before State Supreme Court Monday Afternoon

(Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong will personally argue before the Connecticut Supreme Court Monday seeking to dismiss a challenge to the state’s absentee ballot provisions protecting voters in the August primary during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.

The hearing will be conducted via Microsoft Teams at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 20. Additional information on how to view the hearing will be shared on the State Supreme Court website.

Attorney General Tong has filed two briefs in the case, a motion to dismiss filed on July 7, and the second on the merits of the case filed today, July 17.
