CT Triad Annual Conference On Financial Abuse
Attorney General George Jepsen will convene the Connecticut Triad annual conference on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at the Riverfront Community Center in Glastonbury. The focus of the conference is how to protect seniors from financial abuse. Triad is a national initiative of law enforcement agencies and community groups working together to reduce crimes against seniors by providing information about scams targeting the elderly and resources available for those who have been victimized.
Other speakers include: Hubert H. (“Skip”) Humphrey III, Office of Older Americans, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; Special Agent Anna Ferreira-Pandolfi, Office of the Inspector General, U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services; Dr. Linda Eagle, Global Bankers Institute. A panel discussion will include: Probate Judge Daniel Caruso; Dorian J. Long, M.S.W., DSS, Program administration manager, state Department of Social Services; Tina Gabriel, People’s Bank Fraud Unit; Agent James Kennedy, Glastonbury Police Department; and Jack Horne, Connecticut Dept. of Banking, Securities & Business Investments Division. The panel will be moderated by Assistant Attorney General Phillip Rosario, head of the Consumer Protection department, Office of the Attorney General.
