MONDAY: NEWS CONFERENCE ABOUT MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE EVENT

Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Attorney General George Jepsen and state Banking Commissioner Howard Pitkin will announce details for the fourth, state-sponsored homeowners’ mortgage assistance event scheduled for Wednesday, November 28 at the Conference Center at CoCo Key in Waterbury.  A Brookfield homeowner who was successful in modifying her loan with the state’s assistance will attend the news conference. Approximately 3,400 people have attended three previous events in Hartford, Bridgeport and Storrs. The program has become a national model for other states.
