A career to be proud of—that’s what individuals with disabilities deserve. And what you deserve, too. SPARK-CT can make both things happen.

SPARK-CT is a 10-month certified training program. It stands for Strengthening Professional Advancement in Rehabilitation Knowledge via Certified Training. You will learn how to assist individuals with all types of disabilities find work. When you finish the program, you will have credentials that you can use anywhere in the U.S. to build your career.

About SPARK-CT

SPARK-CT is a unique program that trains people to become Direct Employment Support Professionals (DESPs). Connecticut’s Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS) created this program to help maximize everyone’s potential. You will learn how to best assist someone with a disability so that they can also do their best. This includes finding a job they feel good about and helping them keep that job.

Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRPs) are responsible for the SPARK-CT training. CRPs are organizations that aid people with disabilities to live a full life. These organizations will give you the skills you need to become a qualified professional.

Learn a new profession through SPARK-CT

People who join SPARK-CT will complete their training through one of our partner Community Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs).
