Emergency Meal Programs: The State Department of Education is authorizing two distinct categories of COVID-19 Emergency Meal Programs in accordance with federal requirements: 1) COVID-19 Emergency Meal Program Limited to Students Attending School in Specific Districts. School districts on this list are only authorized to serve meals to students attending their schools, and any other child age 18 years or younger residing in the same household; 2) COVID-19 Community-wide Emergency Meal Program for Children. Any child age 18 years or younger can receive meal(s) at any meal service and distribution sites in these towns/cities. They do not have to be a resident or attend school in these towns/cities. CT State Department of Education to Hold Meeting Tomorrow for Path Academy Families Ahead of Consideration of Charter Revocation Process

SDE Will Hold Meeting Tuesday, May 22, at 2:30 p.m. to Provide Information and Address Questions on Possible Revocation of Path Academy’s Charter

(WINDHAM) – Connecticut State Department of Education (SDE) Commissioner Dianna Wentzell and other SDE officials  will hold a meeting tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday, May 22) for the students, parents and guardians of Path Academy to provide additional information and answer questions on the potential revocation of the charter school’s operators’ license. The following day, on Wednesday, May 23, the Connecticut State Board of Education (SBE) will hold a special meeting to discuss and act upon initiating the process of revoking Path Academy’s charter. A letter to parents and guardians (in English and Spanish) is attached.

If ordered by SBE, a revocation of Path Academy’s charter would not take effect until after the conclusion of the current school year and personalized placement supports will be provided for each student to identify the best options for completing high school.
