Collaborative Learning Hub Resources

Why: The use of open education resources (OER) reduces or eliminates materials costs, helps ensure equity of access to high-quality learning materials, and provides an online community of practice that empowers educators to use, remix, and update content.

Who: Educators at all grade levels (PK – 20)

When and How: Teachers and leaders can visit the GoOpenCT site to use, create, and share openly licensed learning materials, from complete courses and unit plans to lesson plans, flipped videos, and even assessments. Use of OER benefits instructional planning as well as lesson delivery and testing.

Outcomes: Districts and students will appreciate significant cost savings in their instructional materials budgets by co-creating and sharing the high-quality, standards-aligned content already in use. Sharing resources across district and state lines will help ensure all schools, teachers, and students have access to these materials.

Teachers and district leaders can become involved in the national Go Open movement, plan their own district initiative, and master the use of OER in the classroom by visiting GoOpenCT.org
