OVA Training Information

The Office of The Victim Advocate (OVA) works to implement plans and strategies that promote training in the area of crime victims’ rights. The OVA offers a series of educational training sessions geared toward raising awareness about the operations of our office and the specific rights and services available to victims of crime in our state.

If your group or organization is interested in learning more about the trainings available, or if you would like us to create a training regarding a certain topic, please contact the Office of The Victim Advocate by phone at 860-550-6632 or via email to ova.info@ct.gov.

We understand that often times organizations are faced with staff shortages and limited funding that hinders the opportunity to attend training. In an agency effort to provide ease of access, the OVA is offering free onsite training across our state.

Trainings can be customized to specific issues you are seeing in your community. Some topic areas include:

• CT Community Resources for Victims of Crime
• Domestic Violence
• Identity Theft
• Office of The Victim Advocate Overview
• Senior Citizen Awareness
