UPDATED!  HUSKY B Prenatal Care coverage program for unborn children of non-citizen pregnant individuals

We are pleased to announce the new HUSKY B Prenatal Care coverage program for unborn children of non-citizen pregnant individuals.  Eligibility for this coverage is available beginning April 1, 2022, if your income is under 264% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) and you do not qualify for Medicaid due to immigration status. 

You can apply for health coverage one of the following ways:

  • Phone: 1‐855‐805‐4325
  • If you are deaf or hearing impaired, you may use TTY at 1‐855‐789‐2428 or call with a relay operator

We strongly encourage you to apply over the phone in order to get an immediate decision about qualifying for the program.  Or, you may also apply by:

  • Requesting a paper application be mailed to you from Access Health CT at 1-855-805-4325
  • Visiting a DSS Field Office in-person (www.ct.gov/dss/fieldoffices).

UPDATED!  Extension of postpartum coverage for eligible HUSKY Health members

News Release: Governor Lamont Announces Connecticut Expands Maternal Health Coverage Through HUSKY From 60 Days to Twelve Months After Pregnancy

We are pleased to announce that postpartum coverage for eligible HUSKY A and B members has been extended from two months to a full 12 months, effective April 1, 2022.  All individuals who qualify for the two-month extension will have coverage extended to 12 months.
