DRS Taxpayer Mailing: Filing Reminder

Recently, certain taxpayers received a filing reminder by mail from the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services. These letters are a part of annual efforts to remind those who may have missed the Connecticut income tax filing deadline to file returns and make necessary payments as soon as possible.

With the understanding that the COVID-19 outbreak has challenged many, this reminder to file can help taxpayers avoid the accumulation of interest and penalties.

Taxpayers may disregard the letter if they:

- do not have to file;

- are on extension; or

- recently filed via paper return.
