Connecticut Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee

to consider allocation of $10 million in funding beginning Tuesday, March 31


WHAT:               The Connecticut Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee will meet to make funding decisions on 77 applications for up to $10 million in grants-in-aid from the state’s Stem Cell Research Fund.


WHEN:               Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

                           Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM


WHERE:             Marriott Farmington, 15 Farm Springs Road, Farmington, Connecticut


WHY:                 After a thorough evaluation for ethical and scientific standards by the Connecticut Stem Cell Peer Review Committee, the 15-member Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee will review grant applications and direct the awarding of grants-in-aid for stem cell research.
