Mental Illness Awareness Week
The First Full Week of October is Mental Illness Awareness Week
Each year millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition. During the first full week of October, we observe Mental Illness Awareness Week to raise awareness. Each year we fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care. Each year, the movement grows stronger. Click here to visit the NAMI Connecticut website.
Mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, are real, common and treatable. And recovery is possible. Online screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.
Anonymous online screening tools are available on the Mental Health America website.
