MAKE ARREST AT BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

TSA was observing CTX screening of airline passengers luggage when a TSA employee observed the suspicious object that looked like a grenade inside a piece of checked  luggage.   State Police were contacted and responded to the site.  State Police instituted an emergency plan establishing a safe area around the luggage.  Sidewalks were cleared of passengers and traffic was re-routed as State Police bomb technicians responded to examine the object.  State Police Trooper bomb technicians examined the device and determined that the grenade was inert and that it appeared to be a military souvenir with no explosive capability.
