                           STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE BANK ROBBERY

On Wednesday, 10/18/06, at approximately 10:12 a.m., State Police Troop-F Westbrook received a 911 call reporting a bank robbery at the New Alliance Bank, 65 Main Street in Centerbrook, CT.  A lone male entered the bank wearing a stocking mask, and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries reported during this incident.

State Police Troopers from Troop F and the Essex Resident Trooper’s Office responded to the area. The bank was secured and a search was conducted of the area. All surrounding Police agencies were providedinformation regarding this incident.


State Police personnel initiated a physical search of the area.  The State Police utilized additional manpower, K-9 teams and the State Police helicopter, Trooper 1, to search the area. State Police Central District Major Crime Squad Detectives responded to conduct the criminal investigation into this bank robbery. 

State Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of this robbery and might have seen anything related to it to call State Police (860) 399-2100.  All calls will be kept confidential.
