03/08/06                       STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN LEBANON

                                        KIDNAPPING ASSAULT INVESTIGATION

 

LEBANON---On 03/08/06 shortly after 2:30 a.m. a female complainant came to Troop-K Colchester to report her estranged husband had assaulted her utilizing a loaded handgun at her residence in Lebanon. The victim stated that during the assault the accused held her against her will and did hold the gun to her head. Additionally the accused fired the gun at the victim’s car while it was parked and not occupied. The accused then fled the residence taking the victim’s car. The female victim was not injured in this incident.

State Troopers responded to the area, the initial investigation determined that the suspect was still in possession a loaded handgun. State Police initiated a search for the accused who was believed to still be in the Lebanon area.

After an extensive search Troopers located the suspect outside at an apartment complex located at 103 Horse Pond Rd. in Salem. Troopers took the suspect into custody without incident. During the arrest State Troopers seized all fully loaded semi-automatic handgun ammunition and a knife.  Troopers also found the accused to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine.   The accused was transported to Troop-K Colchester were he was processed and charged with numerous criminal offenses.  The accused is being held on $250,000 cash bond. The accused will appear in Superior Court GA # 21 in Norwich today 03/08/06 to be arraigned.
