AMBER ALERT CANCELLED

CHILD FOUND

The Connecticut State Police, Troop E in Montville, are investigating an incident which warranted an Amber Alert.

On Monday afternoon August 7th, 2006 at approximately 3 p.m. a child was reported as missing and possibly in imminent danger.

The child was last seen in the area of 5 Beach Lane, Montville, CT. According to the initial investigation the child was with his mother when the child and mother were possibly abducted against the mother’s will.

The child is a 10 months of age.   

An Amber Alert was broadcasted in regards to this incident which included the description of a possible suspect involved in the abduction and the possible vehicle(s) used by the suspect.

At approximately 4:20 p.m. the child was located unharmed in the City of Norwich, CT.

A criminal investigation is being conducted into the circumstances of this incident and attempts are being made to locate the parties involved in this incident. The State Police Major Crime Squad has been assigned to this investigation. This is an on going investigation, if additional information becomes available an additional release(s) will  be  sent.
