Earthquakes
While earthquakes are an unusual occurrence in Connecticut, they have been known to occur, especially in the East Haddam and now Plainfield areas. While a severe earthquake is considered unlikely in Connecticut, geologists cannot predict with certainty, when, where or how severe, an earthquake may occur.
