The Commissioner of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (“DEEP”) hereby gives notice that a tentative determination has been reached to approve the following application for the certification for activities, including but not limited to the construction or operation of facilities, which may result in any discharge into the waters of the state associated with the replacement of a bridge with a double cell pre-cast concrete box culvert.

The proposed activity includes the following:  replace the existing bridge with a double-cell precast concrete box culvert and concrete wingwalls, and restore channel with naturally-occuring or otherwise naturally-formed and locally sourced natural streambed sediments, gravel, rocks, and cobbles, and will affect 36. s.f. of wetlands permanently and 453 s.f. of watercourses permanently.

The application has been evaluated for compliance with the applicable provisions of sections 301, 302, 303, 306 and 307 of the Act and the Water Quality Standards of the State of Connecticut adopted pursuant to Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies Sections 22a-426-1 to 22a-426-9.
