Updated Green Plan

In 2001, the DEP developed The Green Plan to guide its efforts to acquire and permanently protection open space.  "The Green Plan: Guiding Land Acquisition and Protection in Connecticut 2007-2012" is an update of the original plan. The plan provides more detailed guidance and includes: 1) the State’s future open space goals; 2) land acquisition and protection efforts to date; 3) the priorities for acquisition and protection; 4) the programs and funding available; and 5) the process.  This document is intended as a strategic plan for land acquisition and protection for the State of Connecticut through 2012.  As such, it sets forth general guidance for program managers, is a tool for those who want to work with the State in preserving land, and provides an overview for the public of Connecticut’s land acquisition and protection program.
