Emergency Burn Ban In Effect 10/26/24 - An emergency burn ban is now in effect for all Connecticut State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, and campfires, and the kindling and use of flame outdoors. DEEP and local agencies are working to contain several active fires across the state. Please avoid all affected State Parks and Forests, as well as the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail. The Enduro Trail in Voluntown and portions of North Stonington within the Pachaug State Forest are closed at this time. EJ Demographics and Affecting Facilities Web Map This web map displays various demographics in Connecticut at three different geographic levels: town, census tract, and census block group.  The demographics included are percent low-income, percent minority, and percent LEP (limited English proficiency).  All demographic data was obtained from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey 5-year Estimates.  Also included are the affecting facilities in the states as defined by section 22a-20a of the Connecticut General Statutes.  For more information on affecting facilities, please visit the Environmental Justice Affecting Facilities page on our website.
