DEEP headquarters at 79 Elm Street in Hartford has partially re-opened to staff and members of the public as of Tuesday, February 3. The DEEP records room has re-opened. The DEEP Central Permit Processing Unit (CPPU) will be open to the public starting on Wednesday, Feb. 4. For updates, click here

Environmental Conservation Police are actively working to achieve accreditation through the Connecticut Accreditation program.  The purpose of accreditation is to enhance the professionalism of the Environmental Conservation Police Division through compliance with contemporary, internationally recognized standards of excellence.  These standards are managed in tiers.  Tier I, Liability Standards, are designed to assist police agencies better protect themselves, their employees, and their governing entities from liability exposure as well as enhanced delivery of service and improved public confidence in the agency. Tier II, Professional Standards, address legal requirements, management and operations. Tier III, General Management, further expands upon the Tier II Standards, addressing legal requirements, management and operations.
