The museum is commemorating America’s 250th by working on the Whitfield House Rehabilitation project, funded in part by a federal Semiquincentennial grant from the Historic Preservation Fund administered by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior. The project includes repointing the exterior and interior of the stone walls and replacing the antiquated and failing electrical wiring.

Free Outdoor Experiences:

• Explore the site’s history through interpretive signs with photos and links to online material, including audio tours in English and Spanish
• Read the latest StoryWalk
• Pick up the bloom chart at the parking lot kiosk and explore the native pollinator garden on the front lawn
• Picnic, play catch, read, paint, and more – there are over 8 acres of sunny and shady spots to enjoy!
