State Brownfield funds in the amount of $1,300,000 were used for the remediation and abatement of a 1.98 acre former office/warehouse commercial building, located at 390 Capitol Avenue in Hartford. This building contained a substantial amount of hazardous materials which were removed or mitigated in order to convert the structure to residential. The property, a site that has been vacant for 10 years, has been developed into 112 residential apartment-style units. The building is over 98 years old and contains over 123,000 usable square feet.
