A New Interactive Guide to Help Diverse People Pursue Trades
A new interactive guide to mastering a trade, published in seven languages, is now available to you. The aim of the guide is to promote a more diverse workforce, by supporting women and groups who have historically struggled to find reliable employment and better pay. The guide will be especially helpful if you are a Connecticut resident trying to recover from the economic downturn caused by COVID-19.
The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, Department of Labor, the State Department of Education, plus current and former tradespeople, combine their considerable knowledge and experience in this effort, drawing from a variety of professional careers and trades.
Called "A Career in the Trades", the interactive guide is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Korean, Chinese, and Polish. You can get the Guide to Pursuing a Career in the Trades here now.
