Beware of Vaccine Scams

WARNING: Beware of Vaccine Scams.

We are currently aware of a scam in which fraudsters are posing as vaccine manufacturers offering consumers a reward for filling out a vaccine-related survey. They then ask for your credit card information to send you your reward. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. This is an attempt to steal your money.

Another scam involves criminals sending letters to consumers suggesting vaccines are dangerous and directing them to a website that will steal their personal information. Do not click links to, or visit, this website. Official government organizations would never ask you for this information.

Follow these tips to avoid vaccine-related scams:

  • Do not pay anything to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The real vaccine is free.
  • Disregard ads or commercial-looking promotions related to the vaccine.
  • Beware of offers of rewards or payments related to the vaccine.
  • Do not share your personal or financial information with people claiming to be vaccinators.

All individuals aged 5+ are currently eligible for the vaccine.

Individuals aged 5 to 17 are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine only.
