CHRO 101:
Sexual Harassment, #MeToo, and the CHRO Process

Link to the Recording

In 2006, Tarana Burke started the #MeToo movement to bring awareness to just how widespread sexual harassment and assault is in our society. The movement exploded onto the national stage in 2017 after allegations of sexual abuse by Harvey Weinstein and other high-profile men came to light. Since then, millions of women and men across the nation have come forward with their own experiences of trauma and harassment. This has led to a wave of complaints filed with the CHRO and other civil rights agencies across the nation. This workshop will discuss these issues and how they are handled before agencies like the CHRO and in court.
