The Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection has provided notice to the Attorney General of an abnormal market disruption regarding the wholesale price of motor gasoline or gasohol. Pursuant to Conn. Gen. Stat. § 42-234, no seller of motor gasoline or gasohol shall sell, or offer to sell, an energy resource at an unconscionably excessive price between May 8, 2026, and June 8, 2026.

“Connecticut has suffered a terrible blow today, the loss of so many innocent lives in a senseless act of violence. I join with the people of Connecticut in expressing my deepest sympathy to the families of the victims, and to the people of Newtown and surrounding communities who have lost so very much. Connecticut is a small state and all its citizens share your grief and join you in your sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with you."
