TUESDAY: ATTORNEY GENERAL JOINS PICKET LINES
Attorney General George Jepsen joined the Service Employees International Union District 1199 picket line at Newington Health Care Center, 240 Church Street, Newington Monday morning. On Tuesday, July 17, the Attorney General will show his support for striking health care workers at picket lines in Danbury, Stamford, Westport and Milford. Caregivers at five HealthBridge nursing homes in Connecticut began strikes on July 3 over unfair labor practices after the company ended negotiations and implemented what it claimed was its “last, best and final” offer.
