Governor Lamont Encourages NCAA Tournament Fans to Use Hartford Line as Special Late Night Service Is Being Added
Governor Ned Lamont today recommended that fans who are planning to attend the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 21 and Saturday, March 23 at the XL Center in Hartford should consider using the Hartford Line to travel to the games. Earlier today, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that special late night service will be added to the rail line each evening to accommodate fans returning home after the last game ends.

Governor Lamont Directs State Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of State Representative Ezequiel Santiago
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is directing the flag of the State of Connecticut to fly at half-staff in honor of State Representative Ezequiel Santiago (D-Bridgeport), who passed away last night. State flags should be lowered beginning immediately until sunset on the date of interment, which has not yet been determined.

Governor Lamont and Commissioner Dykes: Agreement Between Dominion and Eversource/UI Good for Environment, Economy, and Ratepayers
Governor Ned Lamont and Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Commissioner Katie Dykes today announced that Dominion Energy and Connecticut’s two electric utility companies, Eversource and United Illuminating (UI), have reached an agreement to retain the Dominion-owned Millstone nuclear facility. Governor Lamont Meets With First Selectmen to Discuss His Proposal to Improve School Services While Saving State and Local Dollars
After a meeting with a group of first selectmen in Fairfield County, Governor Ned Lamont today said that a proposal he has submitted to the Connecticut General Assembly for consideration is a win-win for the state, municipalities – and most importantly – taxpayers in the ongoing efforts by state and local officials to create greater efficiencies that produce cost savings for both state and local dollars. Governor Lamont convened a roundtable of local first selectmen – Republicans and Democrats – at the Weston Town Hall to discuss the important issue and ensure they had an opportunity to learn more about his proposal.
