Students eligible for Project COVID DeteCT include: 

  • Participating Public Schools
    • All students attending a CT public school in grades K-6
    • Unvaccinated students attending public grades 7-12 in the following school districts - Bridgeport, Danbury, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, Norwalk, Stamford, or Waterbury
  • Participating Private Schools
    • Unvaccinated students attending private schools in grades K-6 physically located in the following school districts - Bridgeport, Danbury, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, Norwalk, Stamford, or Waterbury
  • Participating State-Approved Private Special Education Program (APSEP)
    • Students ages 5-12
    • Unvaccinated students ages 13-18 attending a state-approved private special education program physically located in the following school districts - Bridgeport, Danbury, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, Norwalk, Stamford, or Waterbury


*  Students who test positive for COVID-19 shouldn't participate in the Project COVID DeteCT program for the 90 days following their positive test, in accordance with CDC recommendations. Proof of positive status should be communicated to the school, in coordination with the respective local health department


*  The Project COVID DeteCT program is funded through federal ELC resources.
