Health Enhancement Community

The proposed Health Enhancement Community (HEC) Initiative is presented in a draft HEC Framework. It is described in more detail in the accompanying draft HEC Technical Report.

Health Enhancement Communities work collaboratively to improve social, economic, and physical conditions in our neighborhoods- that can improve health and health equity throughout the state. Connecticut is examining how Health Enhancement Communities might benefit our residents, and we need your help. Public comment is accepted through January 30, 2019. Submit your comments  here.
