Purpose

Technical design of the analytic tool. 

Challenges

Design an analytic tool to measure and understand the potential for policy effectiveness, inform policy making to maximize positive impact, and to avoid unintended consequences of proposed ideas.

This will allow advocates and policymakers to judge various health care reforms and proposals against a formula that will project the effect such reforms will have on the capacity of families in Connecticut to maintain quality healthcare coverage and meet their basic economic needs.

• Use the Self Sufficiency Standard for basic economic needs
• Utilize use case models and supporting data 
• Identify key cost variables
• Provide input and assistance to staff and consultants to complete design and launch of live Healthcare Affordability Calculator
