Sub-committee #2: Data Working Group

Purpose

To identify data and data sources that support the use case models developed by the first sub-committee. 

For example, if a model is developed that includes an individual with advanced diabetes, two children, who lives in a particular region, works full time, but has high transportation costs and no ESI, what would be her healthcare costs? This sub-committee will identify data sources for the support of the various use case models. What are the best variables and where do we obtain the data?

Challenges

While the models may be varied, data for models should align with those variables. 

Goals and Objectives

• Identify sources of data, extraction methods and costs, and utilization

• Identify data that allow analyses by race, ethnicity, gender, age and other key variables.
