Peter M. Gioia is a long-time economist and public policy analyst. Peter managed research, business surveys, and policy conferences for the Connecticut Business and Industry Association for several decades. He is a past president and member of the Hartford Area Business Economists, and also served on the state’s Municipal Accountability Review Board. Gioia holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Connecticut and a bachelor’s degree in history and economics

Ken Cotrone
Insurance Certified Supervising Examiner

Ken Cotrone’s career with the Connecticut Insurance Department began shortly after graduating from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting in 2011. Originally brought on as an Accounting Careers Trainee in the Financial Regulation’s Foreign/Licensing Unit, Ken advanced in his career as an analyst, ultimately becoming an Insurance Certified Supervising Examiner. Ken reports directly to the Director of Financial Regulation and is responsible for overseeing teams of analysts who regulate several large insurance groups. Ken holds the designation of Certified Financial Examiner and is currently Vice President of the Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Financial Examiners.
