The Connecticut Division of Scientific Services is developing a secure bidirectional interface that will allow law enforcement agencies to electronically exchange evidence related information with the laboratory through their agency Records Management System or secure portal. This modernization effort is designed to reduce paper-based workflows, improve data accuracy, and streamline communication between agencies and the lab.

Agencies initiate and complete submissions through their RMS or the DSS Laboratory Portal.

Secure Transmission

Submission data and documentation are securely transmitted to DSS and electronic receipts are returned.

Reduce reliance on paper submission forms and manual handling of incident reports. Final laboratory reports are transmitted electronically through the connected RMS or portal.
