Troopers Seek Suspect ID in Bethany Larceny
On July 22, 2017 at approximately 5:00 a.m., troopers from Troop I-Bethany responded to the Country Corner Diner, 756 Amity Road in Bethany, CT. for a reported larceny.
Upon arrival, the victim told the troopers that he had mechanical issues with his vehicle and was waiting in the Country Corner Diner parking lot for a roadside assistance service.
The victim stated that while he was waiting he fell asleep, with his vehicle doors unlocked, and when he woke up his cell phone, debit card and credit card were missing. The theft occurred between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.
After receiving information that the victim's credit card was recently used at Walmart in Naugatuck, troopers were able to obtain surveillance footage of the suspect.
The suspect appears to be a black male, 20-30 years old, approximately 5'8” tall with a thin build. The suspect was driving a newer model tan or gray Nissan Altima.
Anyone who thinks they may have any information about the theft of the suspect is asked to please contact Trooper Gray #1018 at 203-393-4200 x3061. All calls will remain confidential.
