STATE POLICE DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE SPRAGUE SHOOTING
Sprague, CT. (December 15, 2017): On December 14, 2017 at approximately 11:55 p.m., Troopers from Troop E responded to a disturbance that occurred at a residence located at 1 Bay Street in the town of Sprague.
Upon
arriving at the scene, Troopers located a male victim outside the residence who
had sustained life threatening gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Backus Hospital and later
pronounced deceased.
Detectives
from Eastern District Major Crime responded to the scene and have assumed the
investigation. The Office of the
Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting a post-mortem examination in order to
determine exact cause and manner of death.
This
incident remains under investigation and there is no threat to the public. Anyone who
