State Troopers Seek Public’s Help in Killingly Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident Investigation
Danielson, CT (September 13, 2016): Troopers from Troop D-Danielson are seeking the public’s help in obtaining more information about the events that led to a fatal motor vehicle accident on Interstate 395 southbound in Killingly on September 9, 2016.
Troopers, in particular, are seeking the identity of the driver of a vehicle who may have witnessed the accident, but left the scene prior to the arrival of Troopers.
On September 9, 2016, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a vehicle believed to be a blue/dark gray four door sedan, possibly an Acura or Honda , entered the lane of travel in which a white 2004 Nissan Maxima was being operated by Shauna Julian-Trombley. This caused the driver of the Maxima to veer from the travel lane and lose control of the vehicle. The Maxima collided with a wire-rope guardrail and flipped several times before ejecting Julian-Trombley and partially ejecting her passenger, Kerissa Marquis.
Julian-Trombley sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene; Marquis sustained minor injuries, was taken to a local hospital and later released.
Troopers are looking to identify the driver of the blue/dark gray Honda or Acura-style vehicle that left the scene, as that driver could hold crucial information for Troopers to complete their investigation.
Anyone who witnessed this accident, who think they may information about this fatal crash or information about the Honda or Acura-style vehicle, or who may know the identity of its operator, are asked to contact Troopers at Troop D at (860) 779-4900, ext. 2052 or text TIP711 with the information to 274637.
